Worship at Faith

We want you to feel comfortable here, whether you are a lifelong Christian, or used to be one, or never have been. Whether you are familiar with the contemporary style or not, we hope you find a connection with God through our various worship services.

Morning Grace Service: The Morning Grace Worship Service is most uniquely identified by its style of music. The worship service flows between music, prayer, scripture, proclamation, and Eucharist as we enter together into God’s presence. Although the Morning Grace Service is more formal in style, it still has the warmth of a community celebration.  Sundays: 8:30 AM.

Celebration Service: The service is designed in a Lutheran order of Word and Sacrament, but in a contemporary style. The service features contemporary Christian music played by our worship band. God’s message is delivered through the spoken word, as well as through visual media, music and other modes that encourage everyone to be part of the service.  Sundays: 10:30 AM.

Worship at Faith is guided by our Worship and Music Mission Statement: The mission of the Worship and Music Committee is to facilitate worship opportunities that enable members and non-members to connect with Jesus, one another, and the community of Christ.

This mission is carried out through music and worship service-related responsibilities, while always remaining true to our faith and the Lutheran understanding of worship.

Worship Opportunities:

- Create unique worship experiences that are God-centered, serving to spiritually connect worshipers of all generations.
- Provide an atmosphere for spiritual growth, so all can reach out as disciples to the community and the world.
- Provide experiences that are easy to follow.
- Provide worship opportunities that are relative to the community (special recognitions, holidays, special guests, etc).
-
Evaluate and update worship as necessary.
- Select music for worship services that reflect the Biblical text for each Sunday.
- Support the sharing of musical talents within the church.
- Provide opportunities for musical groups within the church.

Worship Service Related Functions:
- Encourage a sense of community where all ages participate in the services.  Evaluate worship space uses and needs.
- Support the Altar Guild, which is charged with maintaining worship service materials, such as candles, communion supplies, banners, etc.
- Ensure lesson readers are arranged for each service, as needed.
- Ensure prayer readers are arranged for each service, as needed.
- Ensure communion assistants are arranged for each service, as needed.
